Rehabilitation of 3 unit of 350KVAR 440VAC 3PH Capacitor Bank at Coca Cola Bottlers Phils Inc – Alpla Phils Inc.
December 11, 2017We have fabricated a main control panel using 64 IO’s PLC, Intrinsically safe Input Isolators, 24VDC PSU’s, LED pilot lamps and switches. We used Vibration Fork type level sensors. Cables were run through installed cable ladders from sensors and pump panel to main control panel.
The System was designed with control philosophy as follows:
- When any of 16 tank’s HLA Sensor sends high level signal, all pumps will be disabled, the alarm will sound, the tank’s High Level pilot light and the beacon light will indicate.
- The operator may press “Acknowledge Button” to stop Alarm but the beacon remains active. Just in case another Tank indicates high level the silenced alarm will be reset and sounds again and the HLA pilot light of another tank will be lit.
- After the operator rectifies the problem and the level reduced to below HLA Sensor’s fork, the “reset button” may be pressed to resume to pump operation. Lit high level indicators will turn off. Note: Pressing reset button with the level still at the HLA Sensors Fork will sound the alarm again.
- Emergency stop is available when needed, this will turn off the system and shut down the pumps. When emergency stop was used to stop high level alarm detection, turning back on will still indicate high level tank(s) and sounds the alarm if the level is not corrected.
